NIST is pleased to host a virtual Working Session 2 on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM Eastern / 10:00 AM Pacific to shape the NIST Data Governance and Management (DGM) Profile. NIST invites the public to a collaborative engagement to further shape the development of the Profile, a tool under development to support the use of NIST Frameworks together, the Privacy Framework (PF) 1.1 and Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0, for organizational data governance priorities.
This Working Session is the second in a series by the NIST Privacy Framework Team. The purpose is to:
- Gather feedback on the scope, approach, and roadmap for the Profile since a prior Workshop and Working Session 1
- Prioritize data governance and management activities and examine their relationship to privacy and cybersecurity risk management
- Hear from a range of organizations about their DGM-related priorities and whether a phased approach of leveraging the PF and CSF to start—with a mapping of the Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) to be added after the expected release of a new version—could support them in creating, assessing, or improving their data governance postures
